Re: 42nd Ryder Cup - Le Golf National
Happy - honestly, it's so much better. The cameras just can't do it justice. 18 is a great finishing hole, but it's right next to 15 Which is just a fabulous golf hole and pretty much every match went down there so you don't get short changed by 18. 16 is right next to both, which is again a brilliant hole and a great little amphitheatre. Tricky to get a good view of all 3 with the numbers there but not impossible.

Tbh it's the same all over the course, it's so well planned and layed out that you can't really go wrong. 1 & 2 is a great spot, 4 &5, 5&6... and so on. Love the place and may go back for the French open next time around.

A game for cunts played by cunts. And cost me in triple hotel rates in Paris and Versailles so can fuck right off.

I can understand the enjoyment of playing it but to watch someone else pay it. Fuck me how sad.

Stewie,

Is the course as good as it looks on TV? 18th looked a great finishing hole we didn't get to see much of in this format.

Furyk is to blame for including Woods and Mickleson in his Captain’s choice option and then further to blame for actually selecting them to play in the pairings. The USA were favourites but they look with hindsight to have been hugely complacent.

As Stewie has pointed out the European golfers are much more used to being flexible with their game because of the variety of courses they play on.

Hahaha.

In fairness it's not the worst.... 'Europe's on fire, USA is terrified...' is probably worse but thankfully never got going massively.

You'll be delighted to know that all the yanks I encountered were lovely people Sold0. Your countrymen did you proud in that sense. (I avoided the obnoxious youngsters who can't drink for shit)

And yet Shermans have won The Open most years.
I just think they're not team players.
I'm in Paris and the garlic is lovely.

Re: 42nd Ryder Cup - Le Golf National
An unbelievable three days. Course was brilliantly set up, and the construction of it as a stadium course is sensational, you'd struggle to find a poor viewing spot.

No sympathy at all for the yanks. They're golfing Graeme HICKs. Play every week on identikit courses with fairways that are 50 yards wide, a first cut that's another 20 on either side, and winning scores of 20 odd under par. But even worse than that, the French open is played here every year. They've known this was the venue. Of their team, only Justin THOMAS played in it this year. Shock horror, he was their best player by a mile. Most of their wives ate fucking unreal, mind.

Unsurprisingly, only real downside and not enough to affect enjoyment, was the French. Rude, ignorant, smelly and absolutely fucking clueless about what they were watching.

Turned into a procession which was nice.

And in defence of Reed who is clearly a bit of a cunt, his little shush thing after his win was clearly him taking the piss out of himself, so funny that it made Butch piss his pants, they just don't get irony even from their own.

Unfortunately for the yanks, although people like him earn their right to be in the team, it does them no favours as I'm guessing hardly any of the other players like him. Can't see Tiger and a few others being that popular either.

Europeans would all happily get fucked up together in the boozer and are good mates away from the course and that makes a massive difference.

Fucking loved it!!!
